JALBCA MOBILIZES THE NEW YORK LEGAL COMMUNITY TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Mission Statement

Our mission is focusing on the intersection of the law and breast cancer, to leverage the legal community's strength, passion, resources and expertise to promote awareness, early detection, treatment and support for all those affected by breast cancer; to provide programs that educate members of the profession about critical medical, legal and personal issues around breast cancer; to support the breast cancer community at large by funding major, well-integrated legal and legally-related counseling programs, as well as state-of-the-art early detection initiatives.

Events

JALBCA organizes and sponsors community-wide breast cancer awareness and fundraising events. Our events include the Annual Ellen P. Hermanson Symposium covering cutting edge legal issues in the breast cancer space and our biggest fundraising event, the Annual Awards Dinner.

Impact

JALBCA provides grants to legal and social services organizations serving cancer patients and their families in the New York area, particularly those who could not afford them, as well as education and early detection initiatives.

JALBCA thanks its law firm, corporate and individual supporters for funding our grantees through their donations at JALBCA's Annual Awards Dinner and additional fundraising initiatives.
